5 World Heritage Sites feat. Kakadu, Uluru & Great Barrier Reef (DVD)

Produced in cooperation with UNESCO, this is a beautiful collection of films featuring 5 of Australia’s most iconic and spectacular heritage sites.

Kakadu National Park

The rock art found here is amongst the oldest art in the world, dating as far back as 50,000 years. Kakadu is also the largest nesting place for birds in the southern hemisphere. The Gagudju people of Arnhem Land have lived here for thousands of years and their stories from the Creation Time will draw you in to this wonderful place.

The Great Barrier Reef

The largest coral reef in the world stretches over 2,300 kilometres and covers an area larger than Italy. Here we visit it just in time for the coral spawning. It truly is a paradise under the sea.

Fraser Island

This is the largest sand island in the world. According to traditional legend, Yindingie, a messenger of the god Beeral, transformed a beautiful spirit woman, K’gari, into this beautiful land.

Uluru

Uluru rises 348 metres out of the desert. For the Anangu, the Aboriginal people who live in this area, Uluru is a very spiritual and sacred place. Every cave, crevice and rock formation has its origin in the Tjukurpa, the Creation Time. Their creation stories will guide you through this exceptional and unique place.

Sydney Opera House

The youngest World Heritage Site in Australia, The Sydney Opera House is one of the great artistic and architectural monuments of the 20th Century. As your eyes follow the sails into the sky, you are moved by the perfect harmony of the opposing forces of this building.
